Reader, Gavin points us towards an interesting discussion unfolding on the Bioware forums, where lead designer Mike Laidlaw, has been talking to fans about the most controversial changes made to the Dragon Age: Origins formula for Dragon Age 2, saying “I’ve said it before, and I will say it again: we stripped some stuff out of DA becuase it was busted”

But the problems are finally getting sorted out, and Gamerzines reports that it should be coming back for fans to download in the near future. Dr. Ray Muzyka said the content is "almost through certification and it will go back up very soon." The cause for the problems? "We ran into an issue with a title update simultaneously hitting with Return to Ostagar and there was a timing issue with both of those," Muzyka said. "I don't know if it was a communication error with our distribution partners or what happened there. If they were released in order it would have been fine but it created a bug which prevented progression and obviously that wasn't acceptable so we pulled it down."
BioWare announced the "Cerberus Network" for Mass Effect 2 today, and in doing so made a not-so-subtle shot across the bow of retailers like GameStop. The name isn't actually new; for quite a while listings for the game have mentioned a "Cerberus Network card granting access to bonus content." But it's only today that EA and BioWare took the wraps off of what exactly the Cerberus Network is, and why it's so valuable to their strategy to combat the used game market.
