On March 23, 2007, the new CGI Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles feature film directed by Kevin Munroe will hit theaters nationwide. Ten days before that, Ubisoft plans to release a video game based on the movie license. In this title you'll get to play as Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello and Michelangelo as they rid New York City of a new evil. Each turtle will have his own unique moves and skills based on his particular weapon of choice. The turtles will also be able to execute powerful tag-team moves. Classic TMNT enemies, such as the Foot Clan, will make a return along with some brand new enemies. The new TMNT video game is being developed by the Ubisoft Montreal and Ubisoft Quebec studios for the PlayStation 2, PSP, PC, Game Boy Advance, Nintendo DS, GameCube, Wii and Xbox 360.

Expect Ubisoft to focus more on their franchises and less on licensed games like Avatar.
Avatar the movie is making tons of money and breaking all sorts of records. Ubisoft's Avatar the game, on the other hand, is not. In light of the game being projected to sell 2.5 million copies across all platforms -- a figure well below the expected number of somewhere between 3.5 and 5 million copies -- Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot revealed to investors recently that Ubisoft will begin focusing more on their franchises rather than spending more on licensed titles like Avatar.

CES gives us a chance to check out other aspects of Conviction's multiplayer.
In the Dolby booth on the CES show floor today -- because that's just how CES works -- Ubisoft showed off Splinter Cell Conviction's Deniable Ops mode for the first time (specifically, the Hunter gametype, which is a straightforward elimination mode). We'll have a video interview with gameplay footage soon, but the quick rundown is that Deniable Ops presents a series of missions im which players try to take out every enemy they find.
