Despite being released in November, Activision's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has been crowned the best selling console title for 2009 on Xbox 360 in the U.S., according to NPD's latest news release.

Source says the game will draw inspiration from Apocalypse Now and Platoon.
Considering that almost every recent Call of Duty game has been released in the month of November, the notion that the next game in the series (to be developed by World at War developer Treyarch) will be released this November won't come as much of a surprise to most. Regardless, that's exactly what one "senior UK trade source" has told CVG, claiming that the next Call of Duty -- to be set in the late 1960s, during Vietnam -- will be released this November.
